Australian Government To Re-Classify Firearms! You Could Lose Your Guns!
YOU HAVE UNTIL FRIDAY TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT KEEPING YOUR FIREARMS
As you will have seen from our emails over the last few weeks, legitimate shooters are facing what is probably our biggest threat since the 1996 buyback. This time, however, there will be no buyback because this time, the government will not ban any firearms you have. What they plan to do is to re-categorize many of your firearms. Minutes of the National Firearms Policy Working Group from 2005 (yes, ten years ago) indicate that this plan was hatched a long time ago. And it’s not just about the Adler shotgun. That was simply the catalyst and had it not been for the furore that surrounded the publicity of the Adler, it is very likely that we would never have been aware of the plan to re-categorize your firearms.
The National Firearms and Weapons Policy Working Group (FWPWG) is currently working on a review of the National Firearms Agreement. Although consultation has only just begun, the review itself commenced in August last year. Whilst we have long been calling for a review of the NFA, we had no idea that the review was already under way and that it contained items that we definitely DON’T want to see, like the aforementioned re-categorization.
The consultation is very limited: only a very select group of organizations or individuals. Although Federal Minister for Justice and the Attorney General, Mr Keenan told us that Shooters Union would be part of the consultation, that has not eventuated. Nor have we been asked to make a submission on the review of the National Firearms Agreement.

It’s time for YOU to take some action now. If you don’t there is a very real chance that ANY firearm you have in your possession that has a magazine capacity of more than 5 rounds may be re-categorized to Category C. That will include most lever action firearms, nearly all .303s and a whole range of other firearms. If you haven’t recently applied for a Category C license, you may not be aware that in Queensland, it is almost impossible to get a Category C license, even if you are a property owner with more than sufficient land available. The reality is that if your firearms are re-categorized, you will be forced to hand them in to police with no compensation, because they haven’t actually been banned and therefore no compensation is payable. Even Dealers will be swamped with consignment stock for which they have no market so no hope of you getting any return on your investment there.
You might note that there is NO evidence to support the proposed actions, no examples of misuse of firearms based on their magazine capacity and there has been no meaningful consultation at which our views were respected.
So what can you do? There are a number of things:
- Do your own submission. It doesn’t have to be as detailed as ours but you might get some ideas from it. You have until 11th September to make a submission.
- Send your submission to NationalFirearmsAgreement.Submissions@ag.gov.au with a copy to the Queensland Premier, Queensland Police Minister and your local member.
Shooters Union members should login and go to the ‘message politicians’ page for emailing Queensland politicians.
- Make an appointment to see your local MPs, both state and federal. Tell them that if the proposed review of the NFA contains any further restrictions, you will not vote for them and you will be doing your level best to make sure that none of your friends do either.
Remember, keep it polite and factual. But let them know.

The government has already proven that present firearms legislation has
absolutely nothing to do with public safety. You only have to look at the law
regarding primitive muzzle-loading guns to see how ignorant the law makers are.
Australian citizens are not even legally allowed to make their own matchlock
guns for recreational use, how pathetic is that?
Flintlocks, matchlocks,tinderlocks,wheellocks,miquilet & others all classified the same as modern centerfire arms!!! Now they want to re-classify guns so they can be confiscated, taken from law abiding Australian citizens! This will be the straw that breaks the camel's back.

Interesting Facts On Gun Control.
The Irish Firearm Custody Order of August 1972
I have been collecting information about the firearm laws of the Republic of Ireland, as well as their effects, including associated levels of crime, for many years. It is over 10 years since I first noted the astonishing doubling of the homicide rate following the Firearm Custody Order of 1972. But I have only just realised that, within that disturbing development, was another one, even more startling.
In August 1972, the then Irish Minister of Justice, Mr Desmond O’Malley, used his powers to take into custody all the private, lawfully-owned and registered pistols and centre-fire rifles (other than.22/250 rifles), throughout the Republic.
Under the Irish Firearms Act 1964, Clause 4 (1), the Minister was given the power, simply by Order, to demand that any or all firearms be handed in
for a maximum of 1 month. Since firearms registration had been a requirement for many years, the government already had lists of lawful gun-owners. So the collection was, of course, virtually 100%

As always, those who possessed guns illegally, whether for crime, terrorism, or any other purpose, were unaffected by the Custody Order.
The reasons for his action were given as the need to secure public safety and the escalating violence in Northern Ireland (which is part of the UK), even though the Republic of Ireland is completely independent of the UK. The Irish government ignored the limitation of a maximum of 1 month contained in the Law and continued to strictly enforce it for 32 years with respect to pistols and substantially so with respect to rifles. Alongside the confiscation of all the registered firearms falling within the Custody Order, the government also blocked all further purchases by civilians.
The inevitable consequences were the destruction of much sport shooting and the closing down of many clubs and gun dealers. The illegal extension of the Custody Order was only brought to an end in 2004 by a constitutional challenge by a private citizen, Frank Brophy, represented by barrister Gerard Hogan, SC.
Irish Murder Rate, pre- and post- the Custody Order
Prior to the Custody Order, the overall murder rate in the Republic for many years had been approximately 0.5 per 100,000, which is an extremely low rate by any standard, reflecting considerable credit on Irish society generally. With the introduction of the Custody Order, the murder rate immediately doubled to approximately 1 per 100,000 and stayed at the new level (which is still low by international standards), for the next 20 years, when it started to rise further.
Inside that disturbing development is hidden another one, even more startling.
Official records show that no Gardai Officers were murdered in the Republic between 1942 and April 1970.
The first for 28 years was Officer Richard Fallon, who was murdered in Dublin during a bank raid in 1970. The story ran for weeks because it was such an unusual event in Ireland.
Inside that disturbing development is hidden another one, even more startling.
Official records show that no Gardai Officers were murdered in the Republic between 1942 and April 1970.

After the Custody Ban the murder of Gardai Officers became much more common. In the 29 years from 1972 to 2001, the following 13 Gardai officers (and 1 soldier, in a double murder) were murdered, all with illegally-held pistols:
Samuel Donegan (1972),Michael Reynolds (1975), Michael Clerkin (1975), John Morley and Henry Byrne (1980), Seamus Quaid (1980), Patrick Gerard Reynolds (1982), Patrick McLoughlin (1983), Gary Sheehan and Pte Patrick Kelly (Irish Army) (1983), Frank Hand (1984), Patrick Morrissey (1985), Gerry McCabe (1996) and Andrew Callinan (1999).
Determining the cause(s) for dramatic changes in criminal behaviour patterns is not easy. It may be tempting to assume that the Custody Order was instrumental in the doubling of the overall homicide rate and the dramatic increase in the murders of Gardai Officers, but such a proposition is difficult to prove.
What is absolutely certain is that the government and Gardai had a clear obligation to closely monitor the results of such a drastic policy as the Custody Order.

And yet, despite the extremely rapid, negative results following the Custody Order, the government maintained this illegal, failed and unfair policy for 32 years and only abandoned it when forced to do so.
It should be noted that many gun-control advocates promote extremely severe procedures along the lines of the Irish Custody Order, with the object of banning civilian gun ownership entirely. It is often claimed that more moderate gun control policies fail because they are not drastic enough, nor maintained for long enough. Well, the Irish “experiment” was extremely drastic and was maintained for 32 years, without any identifiable benefits whatsoever to compensate for the damage and gross injustice meted out to the lawful, registered gun-owners of the Republic of Ireland.

DO NOT be disappointed about the turn out for VR on the 10th of July 2015, I personally am NOT disappointed with the quality of supporters we UNITED on the day of our MARCH, because the people who did UNITE were more than enthusiastic, positive, and determined.
WE were ALL Aussie PROUD to be part of our historical event.
I do however feel sorry for those people who didn't include themselves in this brilliant achievement because we ALL walked away very satisfied, pumped and empowered.

We had the support and assistance of our Police Service even though we refused to register our VELVET REVOLUTION that would require us to ask the Corrupt Corporate Government permission to hold a VELVET REVOLUTION to remove them from office, it just didn't make sense to ask; when we were going to do it anyway.
It wasn't just a MARCH where people glanced at us and kept walking; they literally stopped and watched us MARCH past them; taking flyers as we went, they were even lined up on the other side of the roadway.
It made us PROUD; it made us DETERMINED and we were not taking NO for an answer.
We served the Moratorium to Parliament House and MARCHED to the High Court where the QLD Police prearranged for us to serve the Moratorium into the High Court. We got it all on video and we had no trouble from any authorities or opposition whatsoever.

Australia. Corrupt local councils charging rates illegally.
Home sold to pay $16,000 rates. It is illegal for councils in Australia to charge rates unless contracted to supply certain services. But the government, local councils & the courts are corrupt.
So where is this money going? It is not for roads, that is payed for by registration. It is not for dirt roads, because that is payed for by the Federal Government. We are totally off grid, with no services being supplied to us. We have NOT signed any contract with the Armidale Dumaresq Shire Council, yet they are charging us rates of $1,000,00 !!!
If we refuse to pay these illegal rates charges, our land & home will be sold by the shire & we will be evicted. Councils were deemed to be none government by referendum & rates charges made illegal. Yet there is not a court in Australia that will protect any Australian citizen from these corrupt councils.

I first started adding individuals to VELVET REVOLUTION and then as
those people started reading the info l provided; they asked me to
approach groups they were involved with because they believe in our
PLAN.

People are individuals first and foremost and there is no reason why

to "The People of Australia" our Constitution and our MARCH.
For just a short time of 4 months we ask you to focus on just our
issue, as without

However, we need individuals to stay in your group's because groups
normally have a well researched PLAN to deal with the issues you are
concerned about, which is more than what any government party have
had for decades.

Due to a number of events, Australia has not had an actual
Government for "The People" since 1927 and we "The People" need to
choose one.
According to our Constitution, in order to remove ALL sitting members
from our Parliament; they all must receive a Prerogative Writ of
Mandamus because no current politician has correctly or lawfully
sworn on OATH of Allegiance to abide by our Constitution Act 1900
(UK), the Queen of England (UK) or to The People of the
Commonwealth of Australia, therefore, they all must be removed from
office and the lawful OATH of Allegiance must be taken before any
candidate can run for Parliament.
In addition, every person wanting to run for Parliament are to run as
an Independent Candidate for their seat. Any successful politician is to
be held accountable for promises that they make and fail to provide in
a reasonable time frame in office.
This was the intention of the Framers of the Constitution.

using the preferential voting system and swapping of preferences; as
this was never the intention of the Framers of the constitution and the

who are obviously paid by the government to cast doubt into your mind about VELVET REVOLUTION and it's Organisers.
It's pathetic when these people accuse VELVET REVOLUTION and it's Organisers of things that are NOT TRUE and they offer no evidence of what they accuse us of because they don't have any, it is simply lies and innuendo to stop us from succeeding and if you ask them they have no other PLAN.
But WHO are they actually stopping from succeeding? It's "The People"!

The Constitution Act 1900 (UK) was assented to and signed, it is the THORN in the governments side; stopping them from a complete takeover. If it wasn't assented to and signed, then nothing would stand in their way, they would hold no referendums because they would not need to ask "The People" permission to do something by referendum.

The Australian Velvet Revolution. Are You With Us???
VR have already put the Government on notice that any Treaties or Agreements that they sign will automatically be abolished, not adhered to and treated with the contempt they deserve and once this corrupt Government are removed from Parliament these Treaties and Agreements that "The People" of Australia have not consented to will need to be readdressed.
Everyone should have noticed by now that the corrupt corporate government have been finalising and pushing through many agreements of late as they realise their days are numbered, this does not make these agreements lawful or binding on "The People" as this Corporate Government do not represent mainstream Australian's and is why we need UNITY of "The People" on the 10th of July to show we ALL want them out of our Parliament.
