Over the last few weeks we have all had to bear the ‘slings and arrows of outrageous fortune’. Besides being totally innocent, we as firearm owners were all found guilty of being complicit in the deaths of the concert goers in Las Vegas, to the extent that this tragedy was used to punish the innocent law abiding firearm owners of this state by the majority of the Queensland Parliament. Firearm Owners Betrayed Again.
Mark Ryan and the Queensland Labor party, immune from any moral
scruples about dancing in the blood of tragedy, grabbed the opportunity to
introduce the regulations changes that it had prepared over a year
ago, after when the Police Ministers COAG meeting agreed to penalise
innocent Firearm Owners once again.
As Labor has a minority government it needed the support of their Lib
Labs mates of their so called opposition the LNP. Up until 3 hours before the
crucial vote in the house of parliament the LNP swore that they would not vote
with Labor, they stated that their new policy was to protect the interests of
law abiding firearm owners and would not vote for any legislation that was not
‘evidenced based’. The two Katter Party members had also the support from Steve
Dickson, One Nation, and the Independent Billy Gordon. An hour before the vote
the leader of the LNP Tim Nicholls emailed me and told me that they were going
to vote with Labor. I emailed him back and said that I never expected, “the
Leopard to Change its Spots.”
At least it Exposes the LNP to the Light.
The single lighted candle that illuminated the whole affair was that our local member, Tony Perrett was the first member of the 55th Parliament to cross the floor and vote with the Katter Party and One Nation. That took considerable fortitude to stand up for his electorate against his Party. Lets hope he stands as an independent so he get the full benefit at the electoral box. Of course his brave stand had little impact on the vote 76 to the 5 brave hero’s, but as we have an imminent State election that ‘lighted candle’ shines a clear light, a clear path to put no trust whatso ever in the LNP. It shows that it is up to ourselves the 600,000 law abiding firearm owners of Queensland to support the example of those Independents and Katter and One Nation Party to acquire more seats in this coming election. The LNP have shown that even its own elected members cannot trust what ever the LNP hierarchy says.

The LNP treat law abiding firearm owners as ‘kindling’ something to be gathered in, bought with false promises, then thrown piece by piece on to the fire, as a cheap political sacrifice.

We have to motivate that ‘kindling’, to stick together in a tight
un-breakable bundle. Only when the law abiding firearm owners stick together
and vote together will we break through the tyranny that has been imposed on
us. We have the Right, we have the Might, but as yet we do not have the unity
of purpose.
Those Who Pay the Piper Pick the Tune.
If you can stand to read the transcript of the speeches in
parliament, even ignoring the lies and emotion you will be greatly disappointed
by the treachery and ignorance of the speakers. They fall back on the insane
illogical mantra, ‘Guns kill, Guns are evil, Ban Guns’. Most of the Labour
parliamentarians don’t believe it themselves, but use it as a set of tools to
ingratiate themselves with the Police, gain more control over the citizens, and
buy gratitude from the left wing, George Sorus Foundations, such as ‘Get
Up“. Money talks and buys votes.

Most politicians, privately will admit that there is no correlation between the availability of Trucks, Pressure Cookers, Box Cutters, Jet Planes, Machette’s, Fire (arson), Sarin Gas, Poison or Firearms and mass murder. Gun Controls are not only ‘not relevant’ to these events, the reliance on the wrong ‘fix’ increases the likelihood that they will continue to occur. In fact as firearm ownership by civilians has vastly increased since 1990 to date, correspondingly murders by firearms has reduced in the USA (see FBI statistics) and to 14 % of all homicides in Australia.

Illogical Disorder.
However, we have all met what we would call kindly as ‘nincompoop’s’ (and there are a lot of them that sit in Parliament) that suffer from a mental problem, not so they could be committed as mad, but similar to anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, or addictive behaviour which is an enduring disability.

ability at all.
I am sure that most firearm owners have had discussions with the
rabid anti gun proscribers who instead of thinking of the facts in contention
to find the reasons that we all hold things to be true, as logic is an
essential importance to rationality have an inability to reason. Propositions
are logical if they are “conducted or assessed according to strict principles
of validity”, they are rational according to the broader requirement that they
are based on reason and knowledge. Yet with these Anti Gunners suffering from
‘illogicality’ they reach conclusions that do not follow logically, they follow
emotion and faulty inferences. When questioned they just repeat the mantra,
such as “Guns Are Dangerous” “If there were no Guns”. They are unable to reason
that to disarm one section of the community the other section Police or the
State has to have guns to take them. They will not accept that people will make
their own firearms. That what they crave is impossible. In their case it is an
illogical disorder and they are used by the smarter creatures as pawns in their
power plays.
Those suffering from this mental inability to use basic logic, cannot comprehend simple and clear statements such as ‘if we cannot blame all Muslims for the actions of a few, why blame all of Queensland’s law abiding firearm owners for the actions of one man in the USA. They cannot see the huge flaw that Guns are an inanimate object and that without human direction cannot kill, or do anything on their own they repeat their mantra ‘Guns kill, Guns are evil, Ban Guns’ ‘Get the guns out of society and stop the killing’. Even the statement, ‘Gun Control’ is illogical as it is a piece of steel, it has no mind or direction, it needs a human to move it, but it sound good so politicians and people that have an inability to think keep using it. Wouldn’t ‘Criminal Control’ be a better slogan? Surely they know that mass killings were carried out by people for thousands of years before firearms were invented.

Another symptom of this mental disorder is in this repetition or
mantra, they have reinforced from one another and hear it repeated on TV and
Hollywood movies, the name of this mental disorder symptom is Palilalia (from
the Greek meaning “again” and “again”) a disorder characterized by the
involuntary repetition of syllables, words, or phrases.
Palilalia is defined as the repetition of the speaker’s words or
phrases, often for a varying number of repeats. Palilalic repetitions are often
spoken with decreasing volume and speed up over time with continual practice.
Watching videos, ( I know its difficult) of Anti Gunner’s chanting slogans
repetitively, with slightly glazed eyes and miserable faces convinces me that
it is not just hoplophobia (a fear of guns) if they are not suffering from
illogical disorder they have other worse mental problems. One thing is clear,
it would be beneficial for society to address these concerns with a great deal
more scrutiny than they have received thus far, especially from psychiatric and
psychological perspectives. Some of what we all have to deal with in the public
arena as politics is really instead, a manifestation of these psychiatric
conditions. Additionally, it is the belief of many firearm owners that the
political and media-driven, illogical anti-gun fanaticism contributes to the
genesis and proliferation of fear of firearms in the general population.
We must Spread the Word, or Suffer the Consequences.
While media use fear to sell newspapers, or advertising and politicians are under the misunderstanding that they can use this fear to buy votes the situation is only going to continue. We have to all show our hands, not just isolated by ourselves, we have to all spread the word ensure that everyone we know, even if they do not agree with us at least understands the issues at stake. We the innocent law abiding firearm owners will not accept waiting three to six months for a shooters licence, we will not accept that we have to wait two months for a permit to acquire when we have already waited three months to get a licence. We who have done no wrong will be punished no longer.

Don’t come complaining over the counter at your local gunshop, there is lots of truth in the saying, “You get the government you deserve”. There is only one thing that is certain, and that is that the worlds future is uncertain, yet no matter who we are, if we breath, we contribute to that future and must make that future fair and free.
There is no Spring without Winter, without Mistakes there is no Learning. There is no Life without Death, without Doubts there is no Faith. There is no Peace without War, without Fear there is no Courage. For without Mistakes, Doubts and Fears there are no pathways to Wisdom.

DO NOT try to drive through fast flowing waters at any depth. DO NOT attempt to drive through waters which are deeper than the wading depth of your vehicle. DO NOT let your kids play anywhere near flood waters. Check food supplies in your pantry & stock up NOW. Think about how you are going to boil water & cook food if you are flooded. Make sure you have plenty of safe drinking water on hand, flood waters may be polluted. Tie stuff down in your yard, these rains may be accompanied by strong winds.

What Not To Do!

I was prompted to write this short article because I recently saw a
video about survival in Arnhem Land. In this video a number of suggestions were
made that I do not agree with. Rather than rubbish the video or the presenter,
I prefer to simply advise what not to do in this blog.
I lived for 10 years in the Territory, I survived cyclone Tracey in
74, & prior to that I lived in an Aboriginal camp in Arnhem Land for two
months.
When travelling in the Territory, wet season or dry season, do NOT
set up camp anywhere near water if you intend to spend the night there, & certainly not in shaded areas near
water. The reason for this is:
(1) mosquitoes breed in water, & they love to
be near water & particularly swarm in shaded areas. The dry season can get
chilly & therefore less mossies especially if there is a stiff breeze
blowing, but in shaded protected areas the mossies are still there.
(2) Leaches. Leaches love the damp, & they are not just in
the water. Leaches can be found in the damp areas anywhere near water & you
do not want these in your shelter.
(3) Snakes. Snakes love the water & frequent low damp areas, this
is where they find their food. They are also great swimmers & will often
travel by water. If snakes are to be found anywhere, it will be near water.
(4) Crocodiles. Crocs are everywhere in the Territory, a safe water
hole one season may not be safe the next, because during the wet season crocs
travel overland. Crocs can be hard to spot in the water, & they will often
leave the water. Crocs can also run very fast on land for short distances. If
you don't want a croc dragging you out of your shelter at night then don't camp
near the water! If you have to fetch water, NEVER put your hands in the water,
NEVER stand on the water's edge. Use rope, cordage or at the very least your
waist belt through the handle of a billy to dip water. Crocs are amazingly fast
so take care!
(5) Rising Water. In the wet season water holes, creeks & rivers
can rise very quickly & if your shelter is too close to the water you can
get flooded out.
If you are going to make camp do it in an open area high & dry if
you can with a tree or two for shade. In this way you can take advantage of any
breezes blowing that will help keep you cool & hopefully keep the mossies
at bay. Sometimes there is no escaping mossies, I have covered myself with a
blanket, used a mossie net, & sat all night by a Buffalo dung fire drinking
rum all night. The latter won't keep the mossies off, but after half a bottle
of rum you don't really care! Come morning though you will not be feeling so
good from the rum or the mossie bites!

For those hundreds of thousands of you who have been completely shocked by the expose we posted on Tim Mulherin and the massive destruction of the Darling Downs by mining, here is the next part of the series. And it only takes up a few lines.
Because this is no longer about politics, or whether you wear a red tie or a blue tie.
This is about the complete corruption of the State of Queensland and the sell-out of the Queensland people.
This is all about ugly politicians who, together with their greedy mates, want your hard-earned assets to make themselves rich – your farms, your houses, your investments, whatever - and they don’t even bother to tell you what they are planning next.
They just slip in amendments to bills and change laws at their own whim at two minutes to midnight.
So here’s the big question: while Mulherin and his mates might have set up the grubby blueprint to destroy the Darling Downs, did Newman and Seeney then come in and clean it up?
Not on your life. They grabbed it with both hands. Worse still, they put the plan for total destruction into overdrive.
Since Newman and Seeney came to power only two years and ten months ago, they have:
• Removed all farmers rights to prevent a mine going on his farm. That decision is now being made by the Co-ordinator General, whose office is located right next door to Jeff Seeney.
• They have removed all rights of protest by a neighbour and a community to a mine.
• They have handed over the right to mining companies to use all the water they want from the Great Artesian Basin – and at absolutely no cost to them. (once again, the people of Queensland are left footing the bill for the mining companies)
• They have announced new plans to divert Northern rivers into dams especially for mining companies (they even used the term ‘and for farmers’ as a clever little diversionary tactic).
• They have shamelessly stolen land away from farmers and given mining and CSG companies all the rights they want.
• For example, they have recently removed Strategic Cropping Status from 90% of the land in the Bellevue area north of Wandoan.
• They approved the application by a coal seam gas company QGC to have the SCL status removed from more than 25,000ha out of a total of 29,680hn applied for in the Wandoan area on the basis it fails the slope criteria. Just days before changing the SCL rules, the government ruling was that it considered Queensland Gas Company’s parent company British Gas International (Aus) Pty Ltd to be an owner of the land it applied to have SCL status removed form, not the rate paying farmers.
• Under the definition in Schedule 2 of the SCL Act, holding resource authorities makes the company an “owner” of the land and therefore an eligible person under section 41, and entitled to make a validation application, according to the DNRM decision notice given to landholders last week.
• Basically, the resource company can now make applications over a farmers land without their input.
• They approved Wagners Airport without any Impact or Environmental Assessment. It is also being allowed to operate during high-alert terrorist conditions without full security.
• They have approved Stage Three of New Hope Acland mine, despite all assurances to voters at the last election that it would never happen. New Hope has donated $700,000 to the LNP, while their subsidiary company Brickworks donated $384,000. Their other major subsidiary company WH Soul Patterson donated $250,000. Read this sentence again- because this is what corruption is.
• The LNP created the Gasfields Commission - and then they stacked it with their mates. It is now little more than a tick and flick for gas companies but more of a Star Chamber for farmers being run by a modern version of the Brownshirts. There have been thousands of cases put before it by farmers trying to block coal seam gas on their farms – yet hardly one case submitted by a farmer has succeeded. It is not surprising when you realise that the Chairman of the Gasfields Commission, John Cotter's own immediate family have become mega multi-millionaires from doing sweetheart deals for Coal Seam Gas companies
• The LNP have done nothing to help the children from the poor community of Tara: they have swept all health issues under the carpet, despite children experiencing severe headaches, vomiting and bleeding from both the ears and the nose. Health Minister Lawrence Springborg assured Queenslanders that all health testing was normal and offered them little other than platitudes.
• Yet the truth was that Government did not do any environmental testing to address health complaints: they simply relied on a limited data-set provided by Queensland Gas Company.
• Whistle-blowers claim that the quality of the drinking water in the house tanks at Tara are Chernobyl quality from leaking coal seam gas and the chemicals involved.
• The LNP have announced that $2.5 billion in taxpayers money will be diverted to the Indian Gutam Adani to build his railway and port. This to prop up an un-commercial mine that no bank will finance - and the owner has no money to do so either.
• The LNP have deliberately ignored the skyrocketing youth unemployment rates in Queensland – now the highest in the nation at 6.9% and set to go much higher – because they intend to bring in cheap human ‘$2 a day slave cargo’ from China, India and Korea to work in the mines. This is part of the special deal they have promised to Adani as well as other coal and CSG companies.
• They have introduced special retrospective laws to protect mates (and major party donors) who own quarries from prosecution: this is in relation to the Karaman quarry that is filling the Wivenhoe Dam with mud and severely affecting the flood mitigation ability of Brisbane major flood prevention Dam.
• Allowed party donors to not only mine where they wanted – but also write the conditions for the mine – in particular, the environmental conditions – for that mining to take place.
• Introduced the draconian VLAD laws, overtly written to control bikies but covertly framed to prevent any form of protest from the general public
• Appointed Tim Carmody as Chief Justice, despite the massive and widespread resistance of almost every other judge on the Queensland bench.
• Deliberately watered down the Crime and Misconduct Commission (now the Crime and Corruption Commission)
• They have left Dr Ken Levy, a proven perjurer in place as the Chairman of this handicapped critical crime busting body.
Nothing the LNP does is based on merit – rather, it is only about money for themselves and their mates.
The people of Queensland are now all suffering because of their greed, brutality and incompetence.
Campbell Newman and Jeff Seeney have declared that Queensland is a mining state – but that is not true.
Queensland is a people state – first and foremost. That’s what makes us different and so proud to be Queenslanders.
Unless we find the courage and determination to stand together and remove this rotten and deeply corrupted Government from office, it’s all over for Queensland and its people.

• They approved the application by a coal seam gas company QGC to have the SCL status removed from more than 25,000ha out of a total of 29,680hn applied for in the Wandoan area on the basis it fails the slope criteria. Just days before changing the SCL rules, the government ruling was that it considered Queensland Gas Company’s parent company British Gas International (Aus) Pty Ltd to be an owner of the land it applied to have SCL status removed form, not the rate paying farmers.
• Under the definition in Schedule 2 of the SCL Act, holding resource authorities makes the company an “owner” of the land and therefore an eligible person under section 41, and entitled to make a validation application, according to the DNRM decision notice given to landholders last week.
• Basically, the resource company can now make applications over a farmers land without their input.
• They approved Wagners Airport without any Impact or Environmental Assessment. It is also being allowed to operate during high-alert terrorist conditions without full security.
• They have approved Stage Three of New Hope Acland mine, despite all assurances to voters at the last election that it would never happen. New Hope has donated $700,000 to the LNP, while their subsidiary company Brickworks donated $384,000. Their other major subsidiary company WH Soul Patterson donated $250,000. Read this sentence again- because this is what corruption is.
• The LNP created the Gasfields Commission - and then they stacked it with their mates. It is now little more than a tick and flick for gas companies but more of a Star Chamber for farmers being run by a modern version of the Brownshirts. There have been thousands of cases put before it by farmers trying to block coal seam gas on their farms – yet hardly one case submitted by a farmer has succeeded. It is not surprising when you realise that the Chairman of the Gasfields Commission, John Cotter's own immediate family have become mega multi-millionaires from doing sweetheart deals for Coal Seam Gas companies
• The LNP have done nothing to help the children from the poor community of Tara: they have swept all health issues under the carpet, despite children experiencing severe headaches, vomiting and bleeding from both the ears and the nose. Health Minister Lawrence Springborg assured Queenslanders that all health testing was normal and offered them little other than platitudes.
• Yet the truth was that Government did not do any environmental testing to address health complaints: they simply relied on a limited data-set provided by Queensland Gas Company.
• Whistle-blowers claim that the quality of the drinking water in the house tanks at Tara are Chernobyl quality from leaking coal seam gas and the chemicals involved.
• The LNP have announced that $2.5 billion in taxpayers money will be diverted to the Indian Gutam Adani to build his railway and port. This to prop up an un-commercial mine that no bank will finance - and the owner has no money to do so either.
• The LNP have deliberately ignored the skyrocketing youth unemployment rates in Queensland – now the highest in the nation at 6.9% and set to go much higher – because they intend to bring in cheap human ‘$2 a day slave cargo’ from China, India and Korea to work in the mines. This is part of the special deal they have promised to Adani as well as other coal and CSG companies.
• They have introduced special retrospective laws to protect mates (and major party donors) who own quarries from prosecution: this is in relation to the Karaman quarry that is filling the Wivenhoe Dam with mud and severely affecting the flood mitigation ability of Brisbane major flood prevention Dam.
• Allowed party donors to not only mine where they wanted – but also write the conditions for the mine – in particular, the environmental conditions – for that mining to take place.
• Introduced the draconian VLAD laws, overtly written to control bikies but covertly framed to prevent any form of protest from the general public
• Appointed Tim Carmody as Chief Justice, despite the massive and widespread resistance of almost every other judge on the Queensland bench.
• Deliberately watered down the Crime and Misconduct Commission (now the Crime and Corruption Commission)
• They have left Dr Ken Levy, a proven perjurer in place as the Chairman of this handicapped critical crime busting body.
Nothing the LNP does is based on merit – rather, it is only about money for themselves and their mates.
The people of Queensland are now all suffering because of their greed, brutality and incompetence.
Campbell Newman and Jeff Seeney have declared that Queensland is a mining state – but that is not true.
Queensland is a people state – first and foremost. That’s what makes us different and so proud to be Queenslanders.
Unless we find the courage and determination to stand together and remove this rotten and deeply corrupted Government from office, it’s all over for Queensland and its people.
