Extinction or A Dystopian Future? Will Today's Children Survive Anthropogenic Global Warming & Climate Change?

Our corrupt Australian government knows what is going to happen if we keep burning fossil fuels, anthropogenic global warming & climate change are accelerating, & we may only have 30 to 50 years or less before society collapses, assuming that society will not change. After this TEOTWAWKI, & then possibly the extinction of the human race.
Now this makes no sense to me, so I have been wondering if there is a plan behind not stopping anthropogenic global warming & climate change. Note that we have lost all the firearms that could match the fire power of the arms that the Police & Military have. Note that all items specifically made for self defence have been banned, made illegal in Australia. No one is even allowed to carry the traditional pocket knife anymore. New Zealand have enacted the same gun control legislation as Australia, & now they are trying to ban certain guns in America. England has already got strict gun control.
So lets just say for arguments sake that these corporate heads & politicians actually do care about their children & grandchildren & do not want them to die from anthropogenic global warming & climate change, if this is the case, then WHAT is their plan?  If we are not to face an extinction, does this mean that we could be looking at a dystopian future such as depicted in "The Hunger Games"??? Too far fetched? Then I would like to hear your views, your thoughts, because we are fast running out of time, & it is obvious that a majority of people are not going to do anything to stop the burning of fossil fuels any time soon!!!

IF the future is the collapse of society, teotwawki, then if society collapses early enough, preppers may still stand a chance of survival. It won't be easy, & it won't be pleasant, but we might survive. But if we are looking at a dystopian future brought about by corrupt governments, then we will be in a lot of trouble.
Keith.

VOTE BUYING, WHO CONTROLS AUSTRALIA?

Thoughts for the Week.
VOTE
BUYING, WHO CONTROLS AUSTRALIA?
For forty years, the Billionaire George Sorus has spent millions supporting ‘Gun Control Australia’, ‘Get Back’ ‘Friends of the ABC’ to promote his socialist, disarmament appeasement and to that end has installed his puppets on both sides of Parliament. He has paid the media to make Australians believe that they have No Rights, No meaningful Constitution and No protections under the law of the land. He has weaponized his vast wealth to erode those rights in every corner of the country by supporting anti-rights initiatives and anti-firearm politicians. He has waged a war on people who have committed no crimes, harmed nobody and merely wish to be left alone to mind their own business. Now, they are making the move to re-categorise Straight Pull, Bolt Action Shotguns and Rifles. By making them a different category most firearm owners will not be able to retain or apply for them.

They have Border Force (Gestapo) refusing entry into Australia of firearms on the pretext that there is a crimp in the magazine, (press metal magazine are impossible to make without crimping of some sort) and serial numbers that are not the size that they have dictated. Aside from George Sorus buying and selling our universities, media and political parties we have his twin socialist hero’s buying Australian real estate, electrical companies, water supplies, and bribing our political parties. These Chinese businessmen are not super smart entrpreneurial capitalists, behind everyone of them is the slave state monolith of the Communist Chinese Government.

China have been programming the heads of our government since Gothic Prime Minister Gough Whitlam and even if we don’t believe that Prime Minister Harold Holt was taken away from Portsea on the 17th November 1967 by a Chinese submarine, China was the greatest beneficiary, as we have had “Wimps Are Us” for Prime Ministers ever since. Since the signing of the Lima Agreement we have born the cost, given away our manufacturing and production, (even food is being imported from China) given away our security as an independent nation and if China has a little cough, our politicians Kow Tow in submission.

IS ‘APPEASEMENT’ TREASON?  1
In 2015 the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) reportedly warned the major political parties that two of Australia’s most generous donors had “strong connections to the Chinese Communist Party” and that their “donations might come with strings attached”. In December 2017, an unsourced report in The Australian said ASIO had identified candidates at state and local government elections whom it believed had close ties to Chinese intelligence services “in what security officials assess as a deliberate strategy by Beijing to wield influence through Australian politics”. Most notoriously, a Labor Party senator, Sam Dastyari, was forced to retire after Fairfax Media revealed that he had recited Beijing’s South China Sea talking points while standing alongside a Chinese citizen donor – and then counselled the donor to place his phone aside to avoid surveillance of their conversation.

According to ‘The Australian’, China’s security chief, Meng Jianzhu, warned the Labor leadership about the electoral consequences of failing to endorse a bilateral extradition treaty: “Mr Meng said it would be a shame if Chinese government representatives had to tell the Chinese community in Australia that Labor did not support the relationship between Australia and China.”

“We shall see how the counsels of prudence and restraint may become the prime agents of mortal danger; how the middle course adopted from desires for safety and a quiet life may be found to lead direct to the bull’s-eye of disaster.”
Winston Churchill, The Gathering Storm

Is ‘Appeasement’ Treason? 2
Here we are 20 million people, defenceless, dependent on China for food, clothing and toilet paper, sitting on a continent that has a major section of the worlds resources. Already, the Australian people have very little say in the countries direction, just think for how long have the majority opposed the importation of illegal, unwanted, immigrants, refugees who are not really refugees but economic invaders, how long have the people called out for a government that would defend our borders.

“If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
Winston S. Churchill, The Gathering Storm

Chinese Concentration Camp, or re-education camp

THE GATHERING STORM
A few months ago I became particularly interested in this Defence Subject when on watching a few minutes of the TV program ABC Drum, which has a panel of typical Bimbette’s, (No Bimbo’s as the ABC and SBS only have female experts on everything, except for the fraud Bruce Pascoe of course who follows their traditional suppression of the truth), where one of the Bimbette’s experts came out with one of those all knowing statements. “China, since its communist state began in 1949 has never invaded another country”. I immediately growled under my breath, tell that to the Tibetan, Vietnamese, Koreans, Indians, Xinjiang, otherwise known as East Turkestan, with a population of more than 20 million mostly Ugyhurs. Turkestan was independent till the Chinese invasion of 1949. Tell that to the brave Umbrella protestors in Hong Kong. They know that death awaits them eventually, but still protest and face gas and bullets with Umbrella’s. The islands between the Chinese Mainland and Taiwan have been the target for Chinese artillery for many years. They might also have forgotten the Spratley Islands that China has invaded and turned into armed installations is the territory of the Phillippines. So is this mis-information paid for purposely, orchestrated lies, or is it just ignorance perpetuated by the blind leading the blind?

The Spratley Islands are NOT Chinese Territory.

In the previous editions we have well covered the what is called China’s extraterritorial influence described variously as “United Front work” and “influence operations”. “sharp power”, and then to “Hard Power”.
In other countries, this process may begin with a Confucius Institute, scholarships, grants, but the next thing you know you must self-censor discussions China considers sensitive. In the face of this authoritarian onslaught of China’s misinformation, cyber hacking, bribery, economic coercion, theft of technology, and intrusion in internal politics. This seems to be the formula that has been so successfully used in Australia and has been even more successful in New Zealand.

“Delight in smooth-sounding platitudes, refusal to face unpleasant facts, desire for popularity and electoral success irrespective of the vital interests of the State, genuine love of peace and pathetic belief that love can be its sole foundation, obvious lack of intellectual vigour in both leaders of the British Coalition Government, marked ignorance of Europe and aversion from its problems in Mr. Baldwin, the strong and violent pacifism which at this time dominated the Labour-Socialist Party, the utter devotion of the Liberals to sentiment apart from reality, the failure and worse than failure of Mr. Lloyd George, the erstwhile great war-time leader, to address himself to the continuity of his work, the whole supported by overwhelming majorities in both Houses of Parliament: all these constituted a picture of British fatuity and fecklessness which, though devoid of guile, was not devoid of guilt, and, though free from wickedness or evil design, played a definite part in the unleashing upon the world of horrors and miseries which, even so far as they have unfolded, are already beyond comparison in human experience.”
Winston S. Churchill, The Gathering Storm

In my August Bulletin “Thoughts of the Week” to summarise I explained Australia’s lack of an adequate defence force, our lack of Defence Industries, the scenario of China building an Island base at Long Island, (Chesterfield Islands) and then moving on to Lord Howe Island. The inability and lack of interest for any other nation to move them. (As with the South China Sea Spratley Islands, the USA has not stepped in to throw China off the Islands that the Philippines claims as its territory) The probability that China dominating all of Australia’s sea and air ways would blockade, preventing the importation of fuel, or manufacturing materials, in less then 25 days diesel fuel and petrol would run out, food would not be delivered to the shops, Australia the land of plenty would starve. Australian politicians would surrender, do a deal and fly to the South of France. The Australian population being superfluous to the Chinese requirements would die out.

In my September Bulletin, “Thoughts of the Week” I showed how the Chinese Communist Party leadership massacred its own young people at Tiananmen Square and supplied a speech from Chief of General Staff and Vice -Chairman China’s Military Commission Comrade Chi Haotian stating that they are preparing the way for world domination. Australia is a part of that world and is one of China’s main targets.

“ If China’s global development will necessitate massive deaths in enemy countries; will our people endorse that scenario? Will they be for or against it? The fact is, our ‘development’ refers to the great revitalization of the Chinese nation, which, of course, is not limited to the land we have now but also includes the whole world.
Only countries like the United States, Canada and Australia have the vast land to serve our need for mass colonization.”

Over 2 million men in the Chinese Army, Does that mean every Australian Firearm Owner needs only to shoot once?

In the October Bulletin Thoughts of the Week. I included photos of the October 1st 70th Anniversary Parade in Beijing (of the Communist take over) where the Chinese Government showed off its military technological superiority over the United States and quoted the Chinese President Xi Jinping, delivered a speech invoking the “Chinese dream” of national rejuvenation, his grand vision of restoring the country to his perceived past glory.

“No force can stop the Chinese people and the Chinese nation forging ahead.”

“There is no force that can shake the foundation of this great nation,” Xi said

“Unity is iron and steel; unity is a source of strength,” Xi said, according to an English-language transcript from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

There is an Obvious Pattern Forming Surrounding Australia.
Besides taking over the Spratley Islands and turning it into a Chinese Military Base with airports and manufacturing a deep water port facilities it claims the 200 miles of territorial waters around it. China has leased the Port of Darwin on our mainland. It leases two airports in Western Australia. China was within an inch of formalising a 75 year lease on the Island of Tulagi. Tulagi is in the Solomon Island on the northern edge of the Coral Sea. The deal would allow the communist country authority rights to the island’s deep water port, oil, gas, fishing, forestry and tourism.
Though the plan for a 75-year lease was unsuccessful, another of China’s plans was recently executed. A $825 million deal was struck to allow China to redevelop the Solomon Islands’ Gold Ridge mine. Chinese ambassador Xue Bing, described the deal as an “early harvest”.
Along with the profits from the mine, all port facilities, roads, rail and bridges built to service it will also remain in China’s control.

DEBT TRAP DIPLOMACY

A former intelligence chief of the US Navy’s Pacific Fleet, Captain Jim Fanell, said that China’s interest in the area could have future impacts on Australia. “They’re (China) interested in this area because it’s essentially the lifeline or the choke point between America and Australia and New Zealand,” he said. “China has built the navy that people said they were never going to build. China has deployed their fleet to places which they said they were never going to sail to and they are sending their fleets around the world.”. “They believe that they’re supposed to be the rightful leaders of this new global order. The British century, the American century, now we’re going to have the Chinese century. That’s their vision.”

“With the flip at Kiribati and the Solomons, and what they’re doing in Vanuatu, what they’re doing in Fiji, you start to see a trend line here,” China quite clearly wants to dominate East Asia and the Pacific, pushing out the U.S. as the region’s dominant military power. Shortly, China will hold an invaluable base controlling the approach to Australia, and if the Solomon Islands borrow from China to pay for ports and other facilities and default, they could open the door for untrammelled military development.

“John Adams said infamously, “that a way to subjugate a country is through either the sword or debt”. China has chosen the latter,”

Captain Fanell, above quote appears to be the proof of it. As well as the Chinese building a deep water port in Fiji and Kiribati large enough for Aircraft Carriers, they have recently gained full control of the Sri Lanka Port of Hambantota. Under heavy pressure and after months of negotiations with the Chinese, the government handed over the port and 15,000 acres of land around it for 99 years. The large Chinese loans, inability of the Sri Lankan government to service the loans, and subsequent 99-year Chinese lease on the port have led to accusations that China was practising debt trap diplomacy.

Chinese Submarines have already began to call in for re supply visits The transfer gave China control of territory just a few hundred miles off the shores of a rival, India, and a strategic foothold along a critical commercial and military waterway. During the 2015 Sri Lankan elections, large payments from the Chinese port construction fund flowed directly to campaign aides and activities for Mr. Rajapaksa, who had agreed to Chinese terms at every turn and was seen as an important ally in China’s efforts to tilt influence away from India in South Asia. The payments were confirmed by documents and cash checks detailed in a government investigation. It took control of Nigeria’s Tin-Can Island Container Terminal (TICT)

THE STRING OF PEARL IS AROUND AUSTRALIA’S NECK.

The String of Pearls is a geopolitical theory on potential Chinese intentions in the Indian Ocean region. It refers to the network of Chinese military and commercial facilities and relationships along its sea lines of communication, which extend from the Chinese mainland to Port Sudan in the Horn of Africa. The sea lines run through several major maritime choke points such as the Strait of Mandeb, the Strait of Malacca, the Strait of Hormuz, and the Lombok Strait as well as other strategic maritime centres in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the Maldives, and Somalia. Chinese-controlled deep-water port near the mouth of the Persian Gulf in Gwadar, Pakistan, which is also the crux of China’s massive $62 billion China Pakistan Economic Corridor project. The port at Gwadar, which is connected to the Karakoram Highway linking Western China and the Arabian Sea, is and should be a concern for the Australian government and an even greater concern to the Indian government, which should view it as powerful evidence of Chinese and Pakistani collusion against Indian security and economic interests.

JAPAN’S NECK COULD BE CRUSHED At ANYTIME.

90% of Japan’s imported oil flows to Japan through the sea lanes of the South China Sea, and any undue Chinese influence in the region is seen as a potential threat to Japanese economic security. Moreover, Japanese officials envision that, in the case of a more pervasive Chinese power projection capability in East Asia, territorial disputes between China and Japan in the East China Sea and Philippine Sea might escalate to a point of outright military confrontation. In particular, the Senkaku, which is claimed by China but controlled by Japan, and Ryukyu island chains, are identified as key friction points between the two countries.

“Strength, moreover, could have been used in righteous causes with little risk of bloodshed. In their loss of purpose, in their abandonment even of the themes they most sincerely espoused, (Australia) Britain, France, and most of all, because of their immense power and impartiality, the United States, allowed conditions to be gradually built up which led to the very climax they dreaded most. They have only to repeat the same well-meaning, short-sighted behaviour towards the new problems which in singular resemblance confront us to-day to bring about a third convulsion from which none may live to tell the tale.”
Winston S. Churchill, The Gathering Storm

BOURGAINVILLE
Bougainville is another hot spot where China has been financing an independence movement, to break away from Papua New Guinea. Apparently, if the Independence movement succeeds in the current elections there is no doubt where the finance will come from to re-open the huge reserves left in Panguna (copper) mine. Given the new strategic landscape, between the retreating USA (America First movement) we can bet that Bougainville will have new deep port facilities very quickly.

EAST TIMOR

While relations between Timor-Leste and Australia remain strained, because of Australia’s 2004 bugging of its cabinet office, the young nation, on half an island just 720 kilometres from Darwin, has asked China to help train its Navy. The request was made by Timor-Leste’s defence and security minister, Filomeno Paixao, at talks this month with Rear Admiral Yu Wenbing of the People’s Liberation Army Navy. The talks took place during the visit to Dili of a Chinese warship and are an unsettling reminder to Canberra of Beijing’s growing military influence very close to home. The request for China to train Timorese naval officers was confirmed by a local defence source.

The officers and crew of the 5,548-tonne Qi Jiguang, a Type 679 training ship, received a gala welcome as the vessel was escorted into Dili Harbour by the Timorese patrol boat Kay Rala Xanana. The Shanghai-class patrol boat is one of two purchased from China by Timor-Leste in 2008 to protect its ocean fishery. Dili regards strengthening bilateral cooperation and economic and defence ties with Beijing as a useful hedge against what some in the government consider undue influence and pressure from the West, including from Australia.
China, which has poured money into East Timor in recent years, has financed everything from the presidential palace to a $490 million deep-water port near Dili to an electricity grid that has given power to at least 80 percent of the population. And it has also spent a significant amount of cash near the proposed location of the on-shore part of the Greater Sunrise project, known as Tasi Mane. China has built the first leg of a new four-lane highway linking the airport in Suai with other southern coastal towns that will host the LNG plant, a petrochemical refinery and a supply base. And in April, state-owned company Timor Gap signed a $943 million contract with a China Railway Construction Corp. unit for a new port to help facilitate the main LNG plant. China signed a contract providing US$9 million toward the building of a new headquarters for the military in East Timor.

CHINA’S EXPANDING INFLUENCE IN THE ANTARCTIC
For a long time, China has been eyeing the Australian Antarctic Territory, a large portion of the Antarctic that by Canberra’s definition belongs to us. In 1951, Australia and a group of interested other countries signed a document called the Antarctic Treaty System.
Australia claimed six million square kilometres of the icy continent — around 42 per cent of its total land. The Treaty recognised the sovereignty claims of Australia. However, this is not recognised by China, who were not signatories to this treaty, and they don’t recognise Australia’s claims.
Over the past decade, China has slowly been expanding its reach in Antarctica by creating networks of stations in Australia-claimed territory.

WHY IS CHINA SO INTERESTED IN THIS REGION?

Dr Adam Lockyer, a security expert at Macquarie University and author of Australia’s Defence Strategy:
Evaluating Alternatives for a Contested Asia. Dr Lockyer said there are several reasons for China’s interest in the region. “For one thing, it’s part of their broader strategy for global domination. The rising superpower is increasing its presence everywhere, from South America to the South Pacific.”
Similar to its pursuits in the South China Sea, China is seeking to increase its influence, but fall just short of sparking an actual military conflict with the United States and its allies.

China says its outposts on the Antarctic region are purely for scientific purposes. But they could also potentially be used to aid the country militarily.“Beijing can make legitimate claims that the installations and outposts on the Antarctic are for scientific purposes, and you can’t argue with that,” Dr Lockyer explained. “The fear is that they have a dual use, and that is that they can be used in a confrontation with the US.” But also, the region could prove hugely lucrative, holding large deposits of natural resources.

“The US and China’s use of their Antarctic ground stations to control offensive weapons systems and relay signals intelligence, all while conducting legitimate scientific activity has the potential to shift the strategic balance that has maintained peace in the Asia-Pacific for nearly 70 years. “In a time of conflict, if the US denied others access to GPS, China and Russia could employ BeiDou and GLONASS to guide strike weapons.”
China and Russia currently rely on GPS, but these host satellites are all controlled by the US. This means that, in the event of a conflict, America’s first tactic would be to switch these all off, leaving China blind and lost.
This is why China and Russia are working to build their own network of navigation satellites. One of the best places to communicate with those satellites is Antarctica. China’s BeiDou and Russia’s GLONASS are navigation systems. They’re not actually weapons, but they can be used to guide cruise missiles and ballistic missiles to different parts of the world.

But Dr Lockyer says it’s worrying Canberra doesn’t seem too concerned about China’s possible ulterior motives. “The Australian government doesn’t seem too concerned about it,” said Dr Lockyer. “They very rarely turn around and look at what’s going on in Antarctica.” “It’s like they forgot to lock the backdoor.”

APPEASEMENT
It is highly unlikely that the government forgot to lock the back door, or the front door, but seem to be locked into a silent panic. They can feel the noose tightening, but are petrified of speaking out about it, or heaven forbid, announcing general conscription and a re-armament plan. The Australian government could not ignore the lack of fortitude of the USA in the loss of the Philippines territorial islands in the South China Sea. The Philippines are hardly going to declare war on China, so China moves a thousand miles closer to Australia. When China can take the Australian Territory in Antarctica and no one says, boo to them, when they can take Lord Howe Island and place a few aircraft carriers and a few hundred missiles, will anyone say, boo then?

HOW LONG BEFORE CHINA MOVES ON AUSTRALIA

Some experts say two years, I would hope for three years, but watching the Chinese advances in technology and organised power play on the international chess board they will choke the life out of Australia in four years or sooner.
We quickly need a re-incarnated Winston S. Churchill to awaken the people and re-arm our nation. If we do not find one, our future and the future of our children will be at best death, or worst slavery, or worst still, like the million incarcerated Uyghur (wigger people) who are just hosts for the “Body Part” market. We need new secret weapons. Weapons like their underwater drones that can be unmanned and still sink their landing ships. We have to make our own fighting drones that can beat the Chinese ones. We have to have Sovereign Industries that produce our defence products without relying on imports as without Air and Sea superiority re-supply will be impossible. Do not look for anyone to come and help us they have too much to lose. The Chinese need ‘living space” and we in Australia are up for grabs. We need leaders who forget to mention Global Warming or Gun Control. We need leaders who can re-kindle this ancient spirit, and put fire in our bellies. As it seems our future is going to be a lot harder, before if ever, it gets better.
Sir Winston S Churchill inspired nations with his use of his words and actions.
“We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender”.

Australia’s famous poet Henry Lawson, created similar nationalistic emotions with his choice of words. Albeit at a slower pace but the intent to arise, unite and prepare to fight for your country is very strong.
Every Man Should Own a Rifle.
“So I sit and write and ponder, while the house (parliament) is deaf and dumb,
Seeing visions “over yonder” of the war I know must come.
In the corner – not a vision – but a sign for coming days
Stand a box of ammunition and a rifle in green baize.
And in this, the living present, let the word go through the land,
Every tradesman, clerk and peasant should have these two things at hand.

No – no ranting song is needed, and no meeting, flag or fuss –
In the future, still unheeded, shall the spirit come to us!
Without feathers, drum or riot on the day that is to be,
We shall march down, very quiet, to our stations by the sea.
While the bitter parties stifle every voice that warns of war,
Every man should own a rifle and have cartridges in store!”
By Henry Lawson.

That was how patriots felt in the 20th Century and I admit, that is the Century that I’m from, so even with my old bones and creaky body, I would get a truck load of ammo and my rifle to my station by the sea. I might not be very mobile, (it does make running away improbable) but I can still shoot better than most, but would I have anyone on either side of me? I might have to shout into the distant past of history, to find a new Horatius to help guard the Gate. Ron Owen

Australian government Now Controlling & Ruling the People!!!

'Absurd' bail conditions prevent Extinction Rebellion protesters 'going near' other members.
Civil liberties groups say bail conditions imposed on Sydney climate change activists are usually reserved for bikie gang members.
We are skating on thin ice here people, we have already seen many of our civil liberties revoked, our freedoms taken from us. We have senseless firearms restrictions & gun confiscations. This is the first sign of a government who is seeking to control & overpower the people!!!

How The NSW Government Has Turned Objects Into Time Bombs - The Loose Cannon

The dangers of producing legislation on whim, without adequate stakeholder scrutiny are clear to us all, but not apparently to the NSW Government. You see, we have a problem in NSW, where, every time the Telegraph writes about something, the Premier’s knee twitches, and another piece of ill-considered legislation that has been passed without due consideration and scrutiny is born.

I am acting for a shooter who had a grenade casing found during a safety inspection.  He was initially charged with an Explosives offence- and clearly this does not apply, as there was no explosive, or explosive precursor in the case.
He has now been charged with a Weapons Prohibition Act offence the relevant section being:
(1) Any bomb, grenade, rocket, missile or mine or other similar device (such as a tear-gas canister) that is in the nature of, or that expels or contains, an explosive, incendiary, irritant, gas or smoke, and whether or not it is live, has been deactivated or is spent.

For the purposes of this subclause,
"bomb" includes a device known as an Improvised Explosive Device (or IED).
(2) Any device intended for use by a military or defence force and that is designed to propel or launch a weapon referred to in subclause (1).
(3) A flame thrower that is of military design or any other device that is capable of projecting ignited incendiary fuel.
(1) Any object that substantially duplicates in appearance a weapon referred to in clause 1A (1), but not including an object that is produced and identified as a children's toy.
Let’s consider the case in point:
Police attended to seize firearms for unrelated reasons and ‘discovered’ a grenade shell casing. Grenade casings were until relatively recent times often sold at disposal shops in Australia.
When I was a boy, de-activated grenades were everywhere, and I used to play soldiers, throwing deactivated mill’s bombs and German stick grenades.
It was good clean, safe exercise, we knew not to throw them at one another because they could do serious injury if one hit you with force, and if one dropped one on a toe whilst wearing thongs, bad bruising or bone breakage could result.
That was the sum total of the risk associated by their possession.
More recently, I have practiced law in Jerrabomberra, which is something of a Defence Service Homes ghetto near Canberra.  Soldiers in a pre-deployment phase are instructed to prepare wills, and often when visiting homes, I have seen similar grenade casings functioning as paper weights, or mounted as memorabilia of service on a stand with plaque.
Also caught, as the definition includes ‘expels’ or contains explosive’ would be a shell casing parked by grandpa’s front door and used by him as an umbrella stand, or the hapless relative who inherited it and has retained it to remember him by.
You can also add to those ‘guilty’ of offences under this artless expression of political ignorance the many thousands of good, harmless people who collect Trench Art made of deactivated weapons.
Also caught are those who have purchased one of the deactivated .50 Cal Browning casing (or look alike) bottle openers.
What the government has done, is to criminalise being normal.
But then they have a history of that don’t they? Remember gun laws that created a situation where we are now treated as criminals in waiting.
It is probably good that the net of politically correct persecution has broadened, because the more people who realise what this type of legislation does to the lives of good people who are charged with offences, the more politicians shall be forced to answer for the consequences at the ballot box.
What the Government has done is perform an act of legislative alchemy, by transforming a piece of old metal into a time bomb for its owner; politicians need to know that bombs have an interesting consequence, and it is often called collateral damage.

Thoughts For The Week By Ron Owen of Owen Guns. September 2019.

Thoughts For The Week.
Keep Your Powder Dry.
First of all let me put it on the record, I am not anti Chinese, I spent a lot of good times in China during the 1980s and early 1990s. As a student of military history I visited the Great Wall in several places, shot on their rifle ranges, visited military museums and the Terracotta Army in Xi’an. I have long standing friendships that I value with Chinese friends, my only problem with China is that their communist leadership and corrupt political system has taken a path of expansionism and will not turn back from it unless it has a cataclysmic change in leadership. Napoleon Bonaparte said “China is a sleeping giant. Let her sleep, for when she wakes she will shake the world.” and it will take the rest of the world to stop her from shaking the world to death. This week US President Donald Trump has welcomed Prime Minister Scott Morrison to the White House for a historic state visit. Asked whether he was only concerned about trade with China or if he saw the country as a strategic threat, he said: “Obviously China is a threat to the world in a sense because they are building their military faster than anybody and frankly they are using US money.”

China Increasing War Budget.
Scott Morrison, will be having a quiet word with President Trump seeking ‘quid pro quo’ assurances that if Australia joins the USA coalition against Iran, that when the chips are down with China that America will take over China to save Australia. The answer will of course be in the affirmative, but when the chips are down and a US President Trump or worse Biden, or worse Warren has to make a choice of going nuclear to save Australia knowing that China’s nuclear missiles will certainly take out Seattle, Hawaii, San Francisco and Los Angles killing a 100 million Americans to save 20 million Australians. That sacrifice scenario becomes even less likely as even if China and North Korea were wiped out, what would remain of the USA, theoretically the East Coast would not be able to withstand an attack from Russia, so even if Russia did not feel disposed to get involved it would be the last remaining World Power which would then dominate Europe and the World.

Weapons that could be used in the Pacific wipeout war. Notice Australia did not get a mention.
So saving Australia from China by America is highly unlikely, even though America is following the same formula to create a war, as President Franklin D. Roosevelt did prior to World War Two. At that time similar to China today, Japans Naval power was beginning to dwarf the USAs Pacific Fleet, Japan needed raw materials and living space from China, President F.D. Roosevelt knew that if Japan succeeded in conquering all of China then it would be an unstoppable super power so he imposed a oil and fuel ban on Japan unless it withdrew from China. Faced with having a few months supply left Japan decided to try to sink the US Pacific fleet at Pearl Harbour and struck south to capture the Burmah Oil and Seria Field ,Borneo Oil, ( Brunei) and the living space, food and resources rich continent of Australia.

Due to Japan not succeeding to win the Battle of the Coral Sea, and suffering huge losses in Burma and the Kokoda Trail Australia remained a large base on the southern flank of Japan which America was able to re-enforce. So if Japan had struck South attacked Australia first, and not attacked the USA at Pearl Harbour, and not tried to take India through Siam, the USA would have stayed isolationist with the Monroe Doctrine and Japan with all its force concentrated in the South would have won Australia.
The Spratley Islands, Chinese Bases are really close to the Brunei oilfields.
Once it consolidated Australia’s resources they could chose who to attack next. We can be assured that present day China will see the move of President Trump to keep applying tariffs denying China from the worlds largest market, like “Déjà Vu”. They well know that manufactured exports are their only profit makers, every other aspect of their economy makes huge losses, housing, food production, (they now have to import food again) Fuel,(oil, gas and coal have to be imported) without their exports, without foreign exchange to pay for imports, without their resources (food, and fuel) the future finishes in bankruptcy and starvation. They are being forced into making a decision, either to withdraw contract, returning to their past position, or to attack and like Germany in WW2 gain Lebensraum (‘living space’) in order to survive.. We can only hope that Scott Morrison is aware of this and is chewing Mr Trumps ear asking him to leave a way out. Even if he gets a promise, I am doubtful if it will ever be honoured as Trump needs to close the Chinese exports off so the United States can re-build its industry, give jobs to the voters to gain re-election.
In my August Bulletin “Thoughts of the Week” to summarise I explained Australia lack of an adequate defence force, our lack of Defence Industries, the scenario of China building an Island base at Long Island, (Chesterfield Islands) and then moving on to Lord Howe Island.
The only consolation would be the thought that Australia’s left wing unionists, media and greenies would finally find out the reality of Communism, as they would be the first to have their body parts and organs sold off. The Muslim Shari law clerics would soon follow them. The skilled workers who produced things would survive a little longer.
This Bulletin goes out to a mail list with 10,000 subscribers about 20 or 30 complimented me on my efforts to awaken Australia to pending disaster, the rest either did not read my article and just looked at the adverts, or read it and did not accept it. They may think that it is a one sided debate, maybe, but here are a few words from the Chinese perspective.
It is hard to find the Chinese perspective as the Chinese governments suppresses the truth and keeps an unyielding grip of silence on its citizens within and without the nations borders. I was in Beijing at the beginning of June 1989 and then returned a week after the Tiananmen Square Massacre.

I was staying at the Beijing Hotel which was in East Tiananmen, it was amazing to see a million peaceful people at one time in the square. I returned home and within a week there were tank tracks and huge burn marks on the square as though flame throwers had incinerated them. I was shocked how a country could treat its own citizens and amazed at how quickly it was hushed up.
This stranglehold means that, even today, relatively little information is available about the Tiananmen Square massacre. However, British ambassador to China, Sir Alan Donald wrote a secret diplomatic cable around 24 hours after the massacre, which the British Government only declassified in 2017. The cable reveals stunning information previously unknown to most of the world, and most likely, China itself.
According to Donald, at least 10,000 people were killed. One of the Chinese army units was apparently so vicious that the former ambassador described them as “primitives” in his document. The cable provides a hitherto unprecedented look at what really occurred that night and day. Donald’s cable has since found a new home in the U.K. National Archives. The former ambassador was an eye witness to most of it from the rooftop of the Embassy but explained that the details of his report stemmed from personal conversations from a “good friend” in China’s State Council, the government’s cabinet, who spoke to Donald in confidence.
Donald said his source “has previously proved reliable and was careful to separate fact from speculation and rumor,” making his recounting of the events of June 3 and June 4 highly credible.
Donald’s cable to London described the “atrocities” against several thousand pro-democracy protesters as being undertaken by the 27th Army of Shanxi Province. He called this truculent group of soldiers “60 % illiterate” and “primitives.”
According to Donald and his trusted source, however, the local Beijing troops that entered Tiananmen Square prior to the 27th Army were unarmed. The people gave them flowers and expected them to stay and protest with them. This was an initial attempt to disperse the massive group of protesters without violence, as most were students, unarmed, and non-violent.
Unfortunately, this approach rapidly came to an end.
“The 27 Army APCs (armored personnel carriers) opened fire on the crowd before running over them,” Donald wrote in his cable. “APCs ran over troops and civilians at 65kph (40 miles per hour).” He explained that even though the CCP had provided protestors with a warning, even this small amount of leeway was underhanded, a lie, and viciously broken.”
“Students understood they were given one hour to leave square, but after five minutes APCs attacked,” Donald said. “The group of protesters remained steadfast, even in the face of annihilation. Shots rang out, innocents were struck, and people began to die. Nonetheless — there was power in numbers, and solidarity that allowed them to find courage, and thousands joined hands as bullets flew”.
“Students linked arms but were mown down,” wrote Donald. “APCs then ran over the bodies time and time again to make, quote ‘pie’ unquote, and remains collected by bulldozer.”
As if this wasn’t atrocious enough, the government’s criminal and brutal activity that day got even worse. With no regard for the families of these victims, not to mention their identities, what was left of them was disposed of, in an unspeakably callous manner.” Remains incinerated and then hosed down drains,” Donald wrote.
According to Donald, the violent attacks stemmed from a substantial portion of China’s State Council that was afraid of civil war breaking out. The nationwide tides seemed to be turning and those in power would certainly not benefit from a freer populous. Thus, clamping down forcefully on any kind of dissent was vital to their interests. On top of that, the recently declassified cable stated that the 27th Army was called into action that day specifically because of its disregard for anything but orders. The troops were “the most reliable and obedient,” Donald explained. “The 27 Army was ordered to spare no one,” he wrote. “Wounded girl students begged for their lives but were bayoneted. A three-year-old girl was injured, but her mother was shot as she went to her aid, as were six others.”
The diplomat’s sources also told him that “snipers shot many civilians on balconies, street sweepers etc for target practice.” The declassified document also claimed that this excessive force continued even after the first wave of killings were completed. “A 1,000 survivors were told they could escape but were then mown down by specially prepared MG (machine gun) positions,” wrote Donald. “Army ambulances who attempted to give aid were shot up, as was a Sino-Japanese hospital ambulance.”
“With medical crew dead, a wounded driver attempted to ram attackers but was blown to pieces by an anti-tank weapon. “Donald’s declassified cable even claimed that troops killed one of their own officers. ” A 27 Army officer was shot dead by his comrades, apparently because he faltered,” said Donald. “Troops explained they would be shot if they hadn’t shot the officer.”
Of course, Chinese state TV was painting an entirely different picture. Before the army was deployed to wipe out protestors, government television was repeatedly broadcasting the following claims:
“Tonight a serious counter-revolutionary rebellion took place. Thugs frenziedly attacked People’s Liberation Army troops, seizing weapons, erecting barricades, beating soldiers and officers in an attempt to overthrow the government of the People’s Republic of China.”
“For many days, the People’s Liberation Army has exercised restraint and now must resolutely counteract the rebellion. All those who refuse to listen to reason must take full responsibility for their actions and their consequences.”
The Chinese Red Cross estimated the death toll to be around 2,700 people on June 4, 1989. While this is far less conservative than the Chinese Governments preposterous count of 200-300, it’s far lower than Donald’s account, which ended with a stunning figure.
“Minimum estimate of civilian dead 10,000,” the final sentence of his cable read.
Sir Alan Donald’s now-declassified assessment of the Tiananmen Square massacre and the resulting death toll aligns completely with a confidential U.S. government file reported on in 2014. This document quoted a Chinese military source and said the CCP’s own internal figures estimated the body count to be 10,454 people. Chinese friends of mine at the time told me that over 10,000 were killed and over 10,000 were arrested and they worked for the Chinese Police (Jin Ang Corporation)

General Chi Haotian Defence Minister
Who was responsible for organising this massacre? I have asked and the only answers I have received have named General Chi Haotian as the director of the military’s enforcement of martial law in Beijing to suppress the protests in Tiananmen Square. As at the time he was Chief of Staff he instructed the commanding officers of the Beijing, Shenyang, and Jinan Military Districts to “finalize the name list of every group army division scheduled to advance into Beijing and their exact times of departure and arrival, as well as details regarding primary duties“, according to the “Daily Report” (Meiri yibao) from the Central Military Commission Office, dated 19 May 1989. This military buildup removed the local military force and introduced the external forces who took part in the Beijing massacre, which took place on 3rd and 4th June and led to his promotion to Minister of Defence until 2001.  His perspective on China’s future plans were specified in a his speech, text below
By Chief of General Staff and Vice -Chairman China’s Military Commission Comrade Chi Haotian, December, 2005 to top officers and generals. This is his Modus Operandi.
“Comrades, I’m very excited today, because the large-scale online survey by sina.com that was done for us showed that our next generation is quite promising and our Party’s cause will be carried on. In answering the question, “Will you shoot at women, children and prisoners of war,” more than 80 per cent of the respondents answered in the affirmative, exceeding by far our expectations. Today I’d like to focus on why we asked sina.com to conduct this online survey among our people. My speech today is a sequel to my speech last time, during which I started with a discussion of the issue of the three islands (Taiwan, Diaoyu Islands) and the (Spratley Islands) and mentioned that 20 years of the idyllic theme of ‘peace and development’ had come to an end, and concluded that modernization under the saber is the only option for China’s next phase. I also mentioned we have a vital stake overseas. The central issue of this survey appears to be whether one should shoot at women, children and prisoners of war, but its real significance goes far beyond that. Ostensibly, our intention is mainly to figure out what the Chinese people’s attitude towards war is: If these future soldiers do not hesitate to kill even non combatants, they’ll naturally be doubly ready and ruthless in killing combatants. Therefore, the responses to the survey questions may reflect the general attitude people have towards war. We wanted to know: If China’s global development will necessitate massive deaths in enemy countries; will our people endorse that scenario? Will they be for or against it? The fact is, our ‘development’ refers to the great revitalization of the Chinese nation, which, of course, is not limited to the land we have now but also includes the whole world. As everybody knows, according to the views propagated by the Western scholars, humanity as a whole originated from one single mother in Africa. Therefore no race can claim racial superiority. However, according to the research conducted by most Chinese scholars, the Chinese are different from other races on earth. We did not originate in Africa. Instead, we originated independently in the land of China. Therefore, we can rightfully assert that we are the product of cultural roots of more than a million years, civilization and progress of more than ten thousand years, an ancient nation of five thousand years, and a single Chinese entity of two thousand years. This is the Chinese nation that calls itself ‘descendants of Yan and Huang.’ During our long history, our people have disseminated throughout the Americas and the regions along the Pacific Rim, and they became Indians in the Americas and the East Asian ethnic groups in the South Pacific. We all know that on account of our national superiority, during the thriving and prosperous Tang Dynasty our civilization was at the peak of the world. We were the centre of the world civilization, and no other civilization in the world was comparable to ours. Later on, because of our complacency, narrow- mindedness, and the self-enclosure of our own country, we were surpassed by Western civilization, and the centre of the world shifted to the West. In reviewing history, one may ask: Will the centre of the world civilization shift back to China? Actually, Comrade Liu Huaqing made similar points in early 1980’s Based on an historical analysis, he pointed out that the centre of world civilization is shifting. It shifted from the East to Western Europe and later to the United States; now it is shifting back to the East. Therefore, if we refer to the 19th Century as the British Century and the 20th century as the American Century, then the 21st Century will be the Chinese Century! (Wild applause fills the auditorium.) Our Chinese people are wiser than the Germans because, fundamentally, our race is superior to theirs. As a result, we have a longer history, more people, and larger land area. On this basis, our ancestors left us with the two most essential heritages, which are atheism and great unity. It was Confucius, the founder of our Chinese culture, who gave us these heritages. These two heritages determined that we have a stronger ability to survive than the West. That is why the Chinese race has been able to prosper for so long. We are destined ‘not to be buried by either heaven or earth’ no matter how severe the natural, man-made, and national disasters. This is our advantage. Take response to war as an example. The reason that the United States remains today is that it has never seen war on its mainland. Once its enemies aim at the mainland, the enemies would have already reached Washington before its congress finishes debating and authorizes the president to declare war. But for us, we don’t waste time on these trivial things. Maybe you have now come to understand why we recently decided to further promulgate atheism. If we let theology from the West into China and empty us from the inside, if we let all Chinese people listen to God and follow God, who will obediently listen to us and follow us? If the common people don’t believe Comrade Hu Jintao is a qualified leader, begin to question his authority, and want to monitor him, if the religious followers in our society question why we are leading God in churches, can our Party continue to rule China??
(Lebensraum (‘living space’) in order to survive.)
The first pressing issue facing us is living space. This is the biggest focus of the revitalization of the Chinese race. In my last speech, I said that the fight over basic living resources (including land and ocean) is the source of the vast majority of wars in history. This may change in the information age, but not fundamentally. Our per capita resources are much less than those of Germany’s back then. In addition, economic development in the last twenty-plus years had a negative impact, and climates are rapidly changing for the worse. Our resources are in very short supply. The environment is severely polluted, especially that of soil, water, and air. Not only our ability to sustain and develop our race, but even its survival is gravely threatened, to a degree much greater than faced Germany back then.  Anybody who has been to Western countries knows that their living space is much better than ours. They have forests alongside the highways, while we hardly have any trees by our streets. Their sky is often blue with white clouds, while our sky is covered with a layer of dark haze. Their tap water is clean enough for drinking, while even our ground water is so polluted that it can’t be drunk without filtering. They have few people in the streets, and two or three people can occupy a small residential building; in contrast our streets are always crawling with people, and several people have to share one room. Many years ago, there was a book titled Yellow Catastrophes. It said that, due to our following the American style of consumption, our limited resources would no longer support the population and society would collapse once our population reaches 1.3 billion. Now our population has already exceeded this limit, and we are now relying on imports to sustain our nation. It’s not that we haven’t paid attention to this issue. The Ministry of Land Resources is specialized in this issue. But we must understand that the term ‘living space’ (lebenstraum) is too closely related to Nazi Germany. The reason we don’t want to discuss this too openly is to avoid the West’s association of us with Nazi Germany, which could in turn reinforce the view that China is a threat. Therefore, in our emphasis on He Xin’s new theory, ‘Human Rights are just living rights’ we only talk about ‘living’ but not ‘space’ so as to avoid using the term ‘living space.’ From the perspective of history, the reason that China is faced with the issue of living space is because Western countries have developed ahead of Eastern countries. Western countries established colonies all around the world, therefore giving themselves an advantage on the issue of living space. To solve this problem, we must lead the Chinese people outside of China, so that they can develop outside of China. Would the United States allow us to go out to gain new living space? First, if the United States is firm in blocking us, it is hard for us to do anything significant to Taiwan and some other countries! Second, even if we could snatch some land from Taiwan, Vietnam, India, or even Japan, how much more living space can we get? Very trivial! Only countries like the United States, Canada and Australia have the vast land to serve our need for mass colonization. Therefore, solving the ‘issue of America’ is the key to solving all other issues. First, this makes it possible for us to have many people migrate there and even establish another China under the same leadership of the CCP. America was originally discovered by the ancestors of the yellow race, but Columbus gave credit to the White race. We the descendants of the Chinese nation are ENTITLED to the possession of the land! It is historical destiny that China and United States will come into unavoidable confrontation on a narrow path and fight.

General Chi Haotian left with western visitor.
In the long run, the relationship of China and the United States is one of a life-and-death struggle. Of course, right now it is not the time to openly break up with them yet. Our reform and opening to the outside world still rely on their capital and technology. We still need America. Therefore, we must do everything we can to promote our relationship with America, learn from America in all aspects and use America as an example to reconstruct our country. Only by using special means to ‘clean up’ America will we be able to lead the Chinese people there. Only by using non-destructive weapons that can kill many people will we be able to reserve America for ourselves. There has been rapid development of modern biological technology, and new bio weapons have been invented one after another. Of course we have not been idle; in the past years we have seized the opportunity to master weapons of this kind. We are capable of achieving our purpose of ‘cleaning up’ America all of a sudden. When Comrade Xiaoping was still with us, the Party Central Committee had the perspicacity to make the right decision not to develop aircraft carrier groups and focused instead on developing lethal weapons that can eliminate mass populations of the enemy country. Biological weapons are unprecedented in their ruthlessness, but if the Americans do not die then the Chinese have to die. If the Chinese people are strapped to the present land, a total societal collapse is bound to take place. According to the computations of the author of Yellow Peril, more than half of the Chinese will die, and that figure would be more than 800 million people! Just after the liberation, our yellow land supported nearly 500 million people, while today the official figure of the population is more than 1.3 billion. This yellow land has reached the limit of its capacity. One day, who know how soon it will come, the great collapse will occur any time and more than half of the population will have to go. It is indeed brutal to kill one or two hundred million Americans. But that is the only path that will secure a Chinese century, a century in which the CCP leads the world. We, as revolutionary humanitarians, do not want deaths, But if history confronts us with a choice between deaths of Chinese and those of Americans, we’d have to pick the latter, as, for us, it is more important to safeguard the lives of the Chinese people and the life of our Party. The last problem I want to talk about is of firmly seizing the preparations for military battle. The central committee believes, as long as we resolve the United States problem at one blow, our domestic problems will all be readily solved. Therefore, our military battle preparation appears to aim at Taiwan, but in fact is aimed at the United States, and the preparation is far beyond the scope of attacking aircraft carriers or satellites. Marxism pointed out that violence is the midwife for the birth of the new society. Therefore war is the midwife for the birth of China’s century.”

China’s second aircraft carrier, 3 more to come in the current program.

Comrade Chi Haotian idea’s for limited war strategy is the fait accompli. Such an approach involves an attacker seizing territory before the defender and its patron can react sufficiently and then making sure that the counterattack needed to eject it would be so risky, costly, and aggressive that the United States would balk at mounting it, not least because its allies might see it as unjustified and refuse to support it. Such a war plan, if skillfully carried out in the Coral Sea, could checkmate the United States as it has already succeeded to out bluff the USA in the South China Sea.
So as most of our readers are firearm owners I would suggest we take a notice of Oliver Cromwell’s advice “Put your trust in God, my boys, and keep your powder dry” as one day soon we are all going to need everything we have.
There is no Spring without Winter, without Mistakes there is no Learning. There is no Life without Death, without Doubts there is no Faith. There is no Peace without War, without Fear there is no Courage. For without Mistakes, Doubts and Fears there are no pathways to Wisdom.

Why the creeping militarisation of our police has experts worried.

Why the creeping militarisation of our police has experts worried
Australian police are increasingly being "militarised".
Front-line officers in Queensland and Victoria, and specialist units across the country, are being trained in military-style tactics and thinking.
Lawyer and former Australian Defence Force officer John Sutton describes this "convergence" as slow and worrying.
"Typically, a close ideological and operational alliance between the police force and the military has always been associated with repressive regimes," he says.
"Australia has a very strong democracy and a very robust civic mindedness among its population.
"Nevertheless, these developments are certainly concerning."
So just how concerned should we be? And what's driving the shift?
