great vid made complete sense , i think if there is a urgent need to have a fire then modern equipment lighter , fire starter blocks ( for emergency situations is fine) but to practice traditional skills then why rush ? take time enjoy the process
True Paul, & although this is an 18th century living history video, its value as a survival skill is still relevant today. In this instance it is all about sustainability, being able to make fire long term without anything breaking or running out. Thank you for commenting Paul. Regards, Keith.
