Using pallets is a clever idea. .I wonder if you've kept pigs before though. .. that water system will go down pretty fast! Pigs quickly learn to crawl into and dump water in their enthusiasm to wallow. You will need some sort of fixed, very durable watering system. I finally got 55 gallon barrels with attached pig watering push spigots... some use nipple waterers. I wired them to the fence and even so large pigs butt and push them around to get water to splash out. They become really strong, very pushy animals pretty quickly. Good luck with your pig enterprise! Nothing much better than roasted carnitas!
Yes Mama Mercy we kept pigs in the West many years ago. So far no problems with the water, it was the best I could do on the spur of the moment, I was not expecting these pigs to turn up so soon!!! Keith.
