These primitive guns are on a restricted license & it is against the law to use them anywhere but on an approved pistol range!

When this incident happened did we blame the driver or the vehicle? That’s right; we blamed the driver, the criminal. We did not blame other car owners & drivers & we did not blame the car. BUT, when someone uses a gun to kill people, the anti-gun lobby blames law abiding gun owners & they blame the guns!!! The anti-gun lobby calls for stricter gun control laws even though they know that criminals DO NOT ABIDE BY THE LAWS! They call for an immediate restriction on guns, first they call for a ban on specific guns, then they try to ban all guns.

Did anyone call for a restriction on certain cars? Have any specific types of cars been banned? Have any of those vehicles been banned for use in racing in racing sports? No of course not, that would be seen as being ridiculous, why inconvenience other licensed vehicle owners because one criminal mowed down a heap of pedestrians, why interfere with motor sports when it had nothing to do with motor sports!

But gun owners are inconvenienced, we are blamed for crimes committed by others, we have had our guns confiscated & the shooting sports have been seriously affected by the banning of specific types of guns; NOT assault rifles no, but ordinary semi-automatic .22 rifles & 12 gauge shotguns. These types were also confiscated from farmers, people who NEEDED these guns as part of their employment/work!!!

None of these gun types were ever used in a mass shooting, assault rifles were banned years before the John Howard government decided on a knee jerk decision to confiscate rabbit rifles & shotguns, & of course the ignorant general public applauded Jon Howard for this act of stupidity, because they are totally ignorant & don’t know any better.

Anti gun people, the anti gun lobby & “Gun Control Australia” need to get it into their ignorant thick skulls that criminals DO NOT OBEY GUN CONTROL LAWS!!!  The fact that criminals do not obey gun control laws is well known to anyone with an ounce of common sense. Gun control is NOT ABOUT PUBLIC SAFETY, it is about the government gaining votes, it is about people control. The fact that it is illegal for law abiding licensed gun owners to use their gun to defend their family in an armed home invasion should be proof enough that this is NOT about public safety!!!

I am posting this video to show the anti gun lobby just how ignorant they are & how pointless gun control is when targeting law abiding licenced gun owners. This video shows how to make a 12 gauge shotgun with only simple workshop tools & no special skills required. This gun is called a “Pipe Shotgun" & it is simply made from two pieces of pipe, a nut & bolt & a screw on end cap.

Now ask yourself this, how will gun control stop ANYONE from making a gun like this? How does stopping me from using a primitive antique muzzle-loading gun stop any criminal from making this gun? What is to stop any crazed person from making this gun & walking into a school & shooting lots of people? Remember, this is a shotgun. This is a sawn-off pump action Breech-Loading shotgun seized by police from criminals, this is what criminals use. They do NOT use black powder muzzle-loading pistols. So why are flintlocks, wheellocks & matchlocks on a restrictive firearms licence? Either it is because of sheer ignorance, or they simply could not be bothered to distinguish a muzzle-loading pistol from a modern breech-loading pistol when they drafted the legislation. None of these pistols is capable of firing modern cartridge ammunition.

Please sign my petition asking the government to take primitive muzzle-loading pistols off the restrictive H class licence & place them with other muzzle-loading guns on the less restrictive B class licence.

This is the most sophisticated of the muzzle-loading pistols that I want removing from the H class licence. This is a flintlock, it requires a piece of hard rock clamped in the jaws of the cock to make it fire. All three of these pistols require black powder & only black powder to be placed in the pan & down the muzzle of the barrel to make them fire.

Yet another home invasion and the occupant left helpless to defend herself against a stronger attacker. In Australia it is now illegal to use a firearm in the defence of self and family. Another Australian citizen is attacked and he has no way to defend himself from these thugs using machetes. It is against the law in Australia to carry anything specifically for use in self defence. The police suggest that cameras may help stop Australian citizens from being beaten, raped & murdered!!! Anything but what we really need, something with which to protect ourselves & our families. Australian Government Fear Campaign. Where Is It Going?

The so called Port Arthur massacre led to the government making new gun laws, making certain types of guns illegal and they initiated a firearms buy-back scheme. Of course only law abiding Australian citizens complied and handed in their guns, the criminal element in Australia kept their guns.
The crime rate did not go down, and now only criminals can own illegal hand guns, rifles and shotguns. Yet still the anti gun lobby cry for more firearms restrictions. The recent incident in Martin Place in Sydney has created a further cry for legislation. Our not so honourable PM, Mr Tony Abbott made a statement that the assailant, Monis, did in fact own an Australian firearms permit. This is an outright lie, which is what we have come to expect from Mr Abbott.
But this incident in Martin Place has hairs on it, something does not quite make sense and a lot of people are suggesting that Monis was in fact encouraged to take hostages at the Lyndt caffe with the purpose of instigating more fear control and ultimately further firearms restrictions on law abiding Australian citizens.
I realise that I am probably preaching to the converted here, most sensible thinking people already realise that restricting firearms use to law abiding citizens is worthless in regards to curbing crime, and it is very costly to the Australian tax payer. Criminals DO NOT abide by the law, so confiscating law abiding citizen's guns is a no brainer ! We, the legal gun owners have special gun safes, bolted to the floor in our homes so that these firearms can not be stolen. How the police manage to lose so many firearms I can not say, and they are not telling !
Other worrying matters concerning firearms restrictions and terrorist fear campaigns is the fact that these are also measures taken by people who wish to take over a country as a dictator ! Now I can not say if our non illustrious Mr Abbott has such plans or if he is planing a take over in some other way, such as making Australia a republic. This would certainly further restrict our freedoms.

One major move that must be done before taking control of a populace, is the restricting of firearms. This has already been done here in Australia restricting law abiding citizens to only non semi-automatic guns, and no handguns what so ever unless you belong to a pistol club. Even flintlock muzzle-loading guns in Australia require a firearms licence, registration and a permit to purchase ! These guns are an 18th century design, requiring a piece of rock for ignition! How stupid and paranoid is that? Antique muzzle-loading firearms are not restricted, however you are not allowed to actually fire them. I might point out that there is absolutely no difference in the workings of copies of flintlocks and antiques of the same type.
We, the law abiding citizens of Australia sincerely hope that these terrorist fear campaigns instigated by Mr Abbott do not lead to further firearms restrictions, because I personally don't think the Australian gun owning community would stand for it again.
What we do need is higher penalties for firearms offences, and these MUST be enforced. At present, legal gun owners are being treated like criminals. Some Police officers conducting firearms checks in licensed homes are literally looking to find fault. Also many Police officers do not have the training or knowledge to be able to conduct a firearms check correctly, their knowledge of firearms and the firearms legislation is sadly lacking. In my own case this cost me much time and expense that should not have been necessary. 
The so called firearms consultant committee does not and never has existed. This group of so called experts were never formed. So who has made these pointless and senseless decisions which only affect law abiding gun owners? And why? Firearms restrictions are not about public safety, they are not about curbing crime. There is enough evidence from other countries to show that this does not work anyway. Ignorant people feel safer knowing that some guns are restricted, so gun laws pacify, to some extent, the paranoid anti-gun groups and ignorant citizens. That is all it does.
So be on your guard, follow the rules and be a responsible gun owner.
