A new report published ahead of key UN climate talks has warned the world is falling drastically behind in the race to avert climate disaster, with the five-year period ending in 2019 the hottest on record.

Its authors also warned of the alarming extent of sea-level rise and melting glaciers

The data, compiled by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), says climate change is accelerating, with sea levels rising, carbon dioxide levels increasing and ice sheets melting faster than ever before.

It warned that carbon-cutting efforts have to be intensified immediately and comes ahead of a major UN climate summit in New York on Monday that will be attended by more than 60 world leaders, as secretary-general Antonio Guterres pushes for countries to increase their greenhouse gas reduction targets.

The report "highlights the urgent need for the development of concrete actions that halt global warming and the worst effects of climate change," said its authors, the Science Advisory Group to the summit.

Average global temperatures between 2015-2019 were on track to be the hottest of any five years on record, according to the report.

It highlighted that global temperatures have risen by 1.1 degrees Celsius since 1850, and have gone up 0.2C between 2011 and 2015.

And rather than falling, carbon dioxide grew 2 per cent in 2018, reaching a record high of 37 billion tonnes and locking in further warming.

According to the report, carbon emissions between 2015 and 2019 had grown by 20 per cent compared with the previous five years.

Other major takeaways include alarming new data on the extent of sea-level rise.

Sea levels have been rising by an average of 5 millimetres a year in the past five years, compared to 3.2mm a year on average since 1993, with much of the rise attributed to melting glaciers and ice sheets.

How climate change could make infectious diseases even more difficult to combat in the future

The COVID-19 pandemic has been one of the deadliest virus outbreaks in modern history.

But researchers fear this pandemic could only be the beginning of a new battle against infectious disease outbreaks – the World Health Organisation warns that climate change could make the spread of disease even worse in the coming decades.

Researchers worry that rising temperatures could cause animals to spread disease in more widespread areas, make pathogens more savvy at surviving in hot climates, and possibly weaken the human body’s immune response.

Too late to stop anthropogenic global warming, & the Coronavirus Pandemic increases!

Well the hard word has come down, the majority of the human race & corrupt governments have left it too late to stop anthropogenic global warming & climate change, & on top of that we now have a global Pandemic!!!

The forecast for Australia is shorter winters, possibly with less or no snow, & longer hotter summers in which we will have more wide spread intense catastrophic bushfires. Cities in Australia are touted to become uninhabitable due to the fact that they are heat traps. Society is likely to collapse within the next 30-50 years, & our extinction period could start within the next 100 years.

The corrupt Australian government faced with this news is still selling coal to China & the UK, & has no intention of stopping the burning of fossil fuels, or stopping the destruction of our native forests & woodlands.

So, WHAT CAN WE DO? The best we can do now as individuals is continue prepping for what is coming, when society collapses there will be total chaos, riots, looting, home invasions, crime will soar. If you do not have a firearm, get one now. Our children & grandchildren will have to try & survive teotwawki when society collapses. 

It seems that we are not going to avoid an extinction, anthropogenic global warming can no longer be stopped. The best we could have hoped for was to slow global warming down to give us more time before society collapses & the extinction period begins. IF the government or the majority of people had stopped the burning of fossil fuels, we would have gained a little time, but that DID NOT happen, & it WILL NOT happen.

Don't waste anymore time, you may die from old age, but your children & grandchildren will need help if they are to survive teotwawki. Get off grid if you can, get out of the city. Get a good stock of guns & ammo, & don't forget you need an approved gun safe! Stock up with dried & canned foods. Use it & replace it. 

We are already seeing panic buying in Australia, empty supermarket shelves!!! So it is important that you stock up NOW when food is available. Don't forget the drinking water. If you are off grid in the bush, get some rainwater catchment tanks. We have just added two more tanks. Widen your firebreaks! Bushfires are forecast to get a lot worse!!! Get those gardens working for you, there will be food shortages & eventually no food at all!

Severe drought in Australia, also linked to climate change, fueled devastating brushfires that blazed across the continent over recent months. The flames destroyed thousands of homes, damaged fragile ecosystems and killed an estimated 1.25 billion animals, according to the World Wildlife Fund.

There will not be any bloody economy, no jobs & no cushy city lifestyles in a dead world, wake up people we are running out of time fast, literally!!!

Anthropogenic Global Warming & the Garden!

Last year was pretty much a disaster, & this year has started in the same vein. The leaves of vegies burning in the sun, losing much of our fruit due to a warm winter, then the drought & running low on water & then the threat of bushfires. So, we have been making changes in the garden. We know that anthropogenic global warming is going to get worse, so we are preparing for the present & hopefully the future. Our grandchildren may not survive global warming, but hopefully we can help them survive teotwawki.

One of our galvo water tanks up at the cottage was leaking, so I cut it into three sections & made three raised garden beds. Whilst cleaning up the cottage garden area one of my sons decided to get rid of the old water tanks being used to store firewood, so that has produced another three raised garden beds. A small tank that I was thinking of repairing also got converted into two more smaller raised garden beds because we decided to install two more new 1000 gallon water tanks for the garden. We used to pump water from the big dam for the gardens at the cottage & the main house, but for the first time in 30 odd years, this dam became almost dry. We decided to preserve what was left for the local wildlife & for fire fighting if needs be. Fortunately though the fires were all around us & we were enveloped in heavy smoke for weeks, the fires never reached our forest.

​The latest raised garden bed additions, smaller but still useful. The advantages of these raised garden beds is that I think they will retain moisture better, they are easier to shade, easier to weed if needed, the bed is better secured & can not spread onto the paths, & it keeps the ducks out!!!

Whilst the climate change skeptics & deniers carry on with their normal lives completely oblivious to what is happening in the rest of the world, people like myself face each day with trepidation.  It is still spring time here in New England NSW Australia, yet the temperature outside yesterday was 45 degrees, 35 degrees in the shade, that is far hotter than our normal summer temperatures here. Not far away there are catastrophic bushfires, & we are enveloped in smoke, so much so that even without the extreme heat I could not work outside.

We have had to change our gardening methods; everything now must be under shade cloth to stop it from burning. Unfortunately that does not stop the possums from eating our garden due to the fact that they are suffering from a shortage of food in the forest. Our forest trees are dying rapidly, Cattail Pond is almost dry, & we are running low on drinking water in our tanks. Frankly I find this all pretty scary, I have fought raiders & bushfires in the past, I have been attacked by feral dogs, wild bulls, buffalo, wild boar & people, but none of that was as daunting to me as climate change is now, because to be honest, I have no idea whether or not we can survive this!

The people should be out on the streets protesting this, & although I know many actually are, there are simply not enough to make any difference. I honestly think that in the not too distant future there will be more people protesting, & I think that these protests will no longer be peaceful. I think that just like in Japan right now, these protests are going to turn very violent. Unfortunately it too will not make any difference, because our corrupt Australian government has too much invested in mining/drilling/fracking, burning & selling fossil fuels. They are perfectly prepared to see climate change cause TEOTWAWKI & then possibly a mass extinction event just for their own short term monetary gain.

That makes no sense? No it doesn’t, I have no idea where they think they will be able to spend their money. I suppose they must have plans in place, a doomsday bunker, or perhaps first a move overseas where the climate is not quite so bad as in Australia. Have they no concerns for their children & their grandchildren? It would appear not, just like the cigarette tobacco executives, so long as they are making money they will lie to the public regarding the dangers & perhaps even allow their own children to smoke!

So what can we do as a minority? Well nothing I guess. The only thing we can do is prepare for what is coming. Make plans for leaving the city when things get really bad, better still leave the city now & live off grid. But even living off grid is no guarantee of survival. We can’t live without water, the nearest town to me has already run out of water, & the nearest small city is on water restrictions with no rain forecast for at least the next six months. Is that going to be six months of 45 degrees of heat?! Yesterday I spoke for the first time to my wife about the possibility of having to move from Australia, I mean if we are getting conditions like this in New England, then where else in Australia would it be any better? Maybe something will happen; perhaps the winds of change will blow something else our way. Perhaps TEOTWAWKI will be survivable & this will be the end of fossil fuels in Australia. Perhaps.

Natural Honey sent through the mail. Biodegradable Packaging.

Came across this & thought some of you might be interested. A lot of dodgy honey in Australia at present, so this is a welcome alternative if you do not have a natural source nearby. They will mail it to you in biodegradable containers. I sent them a query & below is the reply.

Hi Keith,

The pouches have a shelf life of about 2-3 years, however, they are intended as temporary packaging to get it from the beekeeper to the consumer. If you kept the honey in them for a long time, the honey might crystallise and then it might be more complicated to transfer it to a container. We recommend to decant the honey once you get the package home.
But it would last for 2-3 years in room temperature.

APR 3, 2018 — The Barwon region alone which makes up most of north-west NSW, tops the list with 8,617 gun owners, & yet only 20 people have signed my petition. I think this is proof enough that gun owners in Australia DO NOT support each other, we are fractured & we are our own worst enemy.
If you are a gun owner & you have a good reason for not signing my petition, then PLEASE let me know what that reason is. I think that I am making a very reasonable request, so do you have a reason not to sign my petition, or do you just not give a damn?!

I don't think that my making posts like this will have any influence on Australian citizens what so ever, which is a shame, because that means that the majority of Australian citizens are complicit with the corruption of our government & its control of the Australian people. Well you can bet your bottom dollar that if TEOTWAWKI ever happens in Australia, the majority of Australians in the city will NOT survive. Do not expect any assistance from Donald Trump, he has an interest in the gold mine in West Papua so I have been told!
